Help Protect The Environment With Sony

Posted by admin on April 10, 2013 in Environment Protection with 25 Comments

Help protect the environment with Sony technology & crowdsourcing. Using crowdsourcing in conjunction with existing Sony technology and your ideas, Sony and WWF have created the Open Planet Ideas initiative which encourages you to get involved and be creative and to submit your ideas on how technology could be repurposed and put together a plan to help protect the environment.

The best crowdsourced ideas will then go to Sony and a panel of experts to be realised and go towards hopefully helping to save the environment.

Open Planet Ideas – Using Sony technology to protect the environment.

    Besides from where …
Besides from where I am sitting your choices are pretty limited right now, lead the way to a better tomorrow by working towards becoming a non profit entity, crash and burn spectacularly or dwindle and whimper into the background.

I would be interested to know which you chose, but I will not hold my breath :)

Your kinda trapped with the rest of us ain’t ya :))) 😉

    Just sayin’ :)

    Extract themselves …
Extract themselves from the virtual economy, and work towards becoming none profit organizations seriously committed to finding solutions to the problems facing all of us, indeed become leaders in responsibility to your very core. There is little I personally would ever contribute to you as to do so I would be for want of a better phrase, “selling my soul”.

    Whilst I disagree …
Whilst I disagree with many here regarding the validity of technology in our future, as it will play a crucial role, and I could come up with a number of ideas.

I feel until such time as your actions match your words, as with all successful multinational companies, BP, HP, Microsoft, Exxon, mobile, Halliburton *cough*…you get the idea…

    Ways to protect the …
Ways to protect the envriontment? How about financially?

“Listen, I’m a big supporter of fixing potholes and erecting swing sets and building shelters. I am more than happy to pay those taxes. I’m just not such a big fan of the percentage that the government uses for national defense, corporate bailouts, and campaign discretionary funds. So, I didn’t pay those taxes. I think I sent a letter to that effect with my return.”

lets get rid of all …
lets get rid of all high technology and live in the stone age because nuclear power and electric cars are bad and we should just let banks and multinational corporations like sony do all the thinking for us and we can live in a eutopian society where there are no problems because humans are bad and we all need to die to save the earth

    Sony could care …
Sony could care less about the enviroment. Nothing to gain from it.

    if we really want …
if we really want to help our environment and our species we need to stop consumerism, get back to basic essentials, learn to grow our own food, stop using petrolium, bring down the corporations that have created the problem and who lie to us in order to generate more business. We need to wake up and realize governments are here to protect us and the international bankers have stole us blind, get back to basic and nature, rely on mother earth and each other.

    wait what? a major …
wait what? a major company is actually trying to do something about the environment? PREPOSTEROUS. You don’t find good people like that anymore today! Protect the environment and you protect the animals that live there. Start with the Endangered Gorilla and tiger. The world just wouldn’t be the same without them.

    there exists no …
there exists no miracle idea to save this world. the governments across the globe have to take a strategy..

for the past few years i’m fed up of corporates asking for ideas, & i don’t see the world changing green.. if they are so eager to “save” come on, throw some money, do some real research and find out what is wrong..

If we want to have …
If we want to have environmentally sound technology, we have to make it affordable at first.
The poorest people on earth can’t afford such technology. And guess what, there are by far much less people who can afford it, that’s why it’s important to make it REALLY affordable.
